A new, small, family based primary school in Lambeth...

The Family School at Larkhall

We currently have some places available for children who are 4 - 6 years old in our kindergarten group. The school is open in temporary premises with four days a week available from September 2008. Four year olds can attend 3 mornings a week if parents prefer. We also have a drop in session for under fours and their parents. If you would like to discuss your child joining us please get in touch - contact details on inner pages.

We will be having a MEETING FOR INTERESTED FAMILIES on the morning of 21st September 2008, email us with your contact details and your child's age if you would like more information

STOP PRESS>>> We had a full page feature in the SOUTH LONDON PRESS last week (Fri July 11th). IMPORTANT CORRECTION - The article states that we require 80 hours of adult time per family per term, this is incorrect, it is half that! We ask for an equivalent of four hours a week but it can be done on a flexible basis. Some families will choose to volunteer regularly every week, others may find it more convenient to offer their time on an irregular basis and this is fine too.

Our under 4s group will start on 10th November 2008. Sessions will run from 9.45am-11.45am and cost £6 per session. Contact us for more details or if you are interested in coming along.

If you are a teacher or student and interested in working with us please look here more information Recruitment information

The school will be in a new eco-building on a tree-filled site near Larkhall Rise in Clapham North.(at present, we are in pleasant and spacious temporary premises in Brixton Hill)
Our vision is for a place which is a home from home for children and families, offering space and time for all to work, play and learn together. A place where learning is active, participatory and purposeful and where engagement with nature will be part of daily life. Where each individual will receive support and encouragement to grow and live to their full potential. The Family School has its own curriculum, which values imaginative play and exploration alongside academic, creative and physical work.
